A Tour of the 3 Vallees

The 3 Valleys in France is more accessible than ever for sit skiers. Helpful lift staff, a modern lift system and trolleys all help to make a smooth experience touring the 3 Valleys in a day

From Val Thorens centre we took the Pioneers chairlift and then the 3 Vallees lift to the top of Col de La Chambre. Time check: 9:30am.

LAC DE CHAMBRE

A long red run down towards Meribel/Motteret. The blue run towards Motteret was closed so we took the Plain des Mains chairlift and then another blue run down.

DOWN TO MOTTERET

A long gentle blue run followed by a coffee break in Motteret. Time check: 10:30am.

ARRIVING IN MERIBEL

An easy green run connects Motteret to Meribel.

SAULIRE EXPRESS

The first cable car on the route. Access was easy thanks to a sit ski trolley and helpful lift staff.

SAULIRE 2700m

Arriving at the top of the Saulire Express.

Time check: 11:45am.

TOWARDS COURCHEVEL

A blue run called the Creux then bearing left onto the the Lac De Creux takes us down into the Courchevel ski area.

ALTIPORT

We pass the famous runway in Courchevel before stopping for lunch.

Time check: 12:30pm.

SAULIRE CABLE CAR

The Saulire cable car takes us back up to Saulire 2700m and back towards Meribel.

BACK AT THE TOP OF SAULIRE

Exiting the cable car. Time check: 1:45pm.

HEADING BACK TO MERIBEL

Our run back down to Meribel started with the Chamois red run, then onto the Geal blue run, the Blanchot green and finished with Doron blue back to the lift station. Time check: 3pm

RETURNING TO VAL THORENS

From Meribel we took the Plan de L'Homme chairlift, the Tougnette 2 chairlift, then a short blue run to the Les Granges Chairlift. From there we connected with the Cote Brune chairlift which took us back to the Val Thorens valley.

LAST RUN HOME

From the top of the Cote Brune lift it was a short blue run back to our apartment. Time check: 4:30pm. A tired but happy sit-skier.
