ESF Les 2 Alpes: Inclusive, Assisted and Adaptive Ski and Snowboard Instruction and Guiding

Mountains 4 All is working with ESF Les 2 Alpes to help provide the best inclusive and accessible ski and snowboard holiday for families, individual skiers, or where a member of group might just need a bit more help on the snow!

Ski 2 Freedom has over the past 10 years had a number of beneficiaries in Les 2 Alpes and the ESF have provided exceptional support.

They have a Tessier dual-ski and a Tessier Kart-Ski - along with equipment for blind and visually impaired skiers

Inclusive and Accessible Family Ski Holiday in Les 2 Alpes – France: April 2019

Skiing with ESF Les 2 Alpes gave Charlotte Hawkings-Byass, who has learning difficulties, a really great inclusive family holiday. Charlotte began her ski life with Snowbility based at Hemel Hempstead Snow Dome. Her mother then contacted Catherine Cosby of Ski 2 Freedom to find out the most suitable ski resort in France.

*He was amazing and totally nurtured her all week. She had a lovely time and although still quite nervous - she did it! But you are so right she really needed 1:1. Charlotte’s achievements were amazing and the most important thing was that Charlotte joined us on our ski holiday and it made me so happy. I never thought I’d see it.

Catherine, I cannot thank you enough for all your kindness and understanding. It is like a breath of fresh air when I explain about the needs of my daughter and the other person totally gets it. It doesn’t happen very often and is so frustrating at times. Charlotte is an intelligent little thing with great determination that sometimes she controls a little too much but she just needs to believe in herself more and she will literally fly! I do laugh because her ability to get on and cook herself breakfast in the morning is admirable – she could be the next girly Gordon Ramsey as she is quite bossy.

ESF Les 2 Alpes have been helping Ski 2 Freedom’s beneficiaries for many years and we are extremely grateful to them for their support. They have specialist instructors for all types of conditions including blind and visually impaired, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Nurone Disease, Down’s Syndrome…….
