The Tobell Family Fund - Making Dreams come True

This wonderful project is supporting our mission to help young people and continues to help us develop new initiatives whereby many more children and their families will gain life-changing experiences in the mountains.

The Fund was initially set up with an extremely generous donation from the Tobell Family, from Sweden, in memory of Mr. Ernie Tobell. Mrs. Inger Tobell and her family are helping us to reach out and empower people especially those with life-terminal illnesses or having extreme complex related conditions.

Known as 'Ernie's Children' the recipients of Ski 2 Freedom's help from our Portfolio of Information have had some incredible life-changing experiences in the Alps of Switzerland, France, Austria, Italy and Sweden.......... to name but a few of the countries where we are able to help support access to snow-sport and other activities.

Mrs Inger Tobell first began supporting the Foundation soon after the very tragic passing of her husband Ernie and made a most generous donation in May 2012 of 1,000,000 Swedish Krona (£92,000). Since then there have been two inspiring events held in Wengen - Jungfrau Region of Switzerland and overall probably some xxxxxx children have directly benefited from this legacy.

It is not just the children themselves but their parents and, often siblings, who also gain so much from this type of activity. To be able to help facilitate such opportunities is a wonderful experience and seeing the laughter, the joy, the heartache (in some cases), the lasting memories and the new life-skills and confidence experienced by the children and their family and friends, is the reason that the Tobell family are so keen to help us.
