An inspiring video that shows standing skiing is possible for people with limited mobility by using a special piece of equipment – the ‘ski connect’ links the two skis together so that a person can maintain a parallel position whilst learning or progression with their skiing. This is great for kids and adults with physical problems due to Cerebral Palsy, Hemiplegia etc. The person is guided on the mountain by an instructor using tethers to ensure safety but also allowing an increasing element of independence. Some may know this as the ‘ski-trombone’.
