Philippe Ligerot (ESF Serre Chevalier - Villeneuve) gave inspiration

Philippe Ligerot

In memory of Philippe Ligerot - ski instructor from ESF Serre Chevalier (Villeneuve)

"My visit to Serre Chevalier just before Grand Ski gave me a wonderful insight into how this amazing ski area can be of enormous empowerment to our beneficiaries. I had the great pleasure of going for an incredible day of snow-shoe walking up high and reaching little summits that really only those who are ski touring or with raquettes could reach. It was a very special day and one that gave me enormous rejuvenation – all due to an extraordinary ski and mountain guide, Philippe Ligerot, whose empathy and understanding of the mountains totally was in synergy with mine and the work Ski 2 Freedom does.

Very tragically just three days after this he was killed in an avalanche along with his client. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. However short a time I had known Philippe I am convinced that his passing will in some way guide us all to give thanks for the life we have and never to waste a second of it. " Catherine Cosby (Ski 2 Freedom)
